Description:
The Institute for Iran-Eurasia Studies (IRAS) will host Dr. Eyüp Cüneyt Akalın of University of Marmara, next Tuesday (May 17) to discuss Turkish Foreign Policy, A Century after the Sykes–Picot Agreement. This Agreement, officially known as the Asia Minor Agreement, was a secret agreement between the United Kingdom and the French Third Republic with the assent of the Russian Empire, defining their proposed spheres of influence and control in Southwestern Asia should the Triple Entente succeed in defeating the Ottoman Empire during World War I.
